Gift of Stock

Donating stocks or securities is a great way to help Freedom Service Dogs while maximizing your tax position. Gifts of this type are 100% free of capital gains and also eligible for income tax deductions (consult your advisor for details).

To transfer stock to the Freedom Service Dogs, please follow these instructions:

1. Contact FSD’s broker and give them your name and address, number of shares and type of stock. Our broker is Charles Schwab.

2.  Inform Schwab you are transferring the stock to Freedom Service Dogs and give them  FSD’s DTC# (0164).

3.  Please copy FSD (info@freedomservicedogs.org) by e-mail, or call  (303) 922-6231 so FSD can track and process the gift.
