Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Freedom Service Dogs! We could not accomplish our mission without the help of so many amazing volunteers from our community. Volunteering for FSD is easy! The process starts with you filling out the volunteer application below. After your application is accepted, you will be contacted by our volunteer coordinator to schedule you for an Orientation Session. The Orientation Session is a mandatory training and is currently being held on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:00pm-7:00pm at our Englewood facility.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BULLET POINTS BEFORE BEGINNING A VOLUNTEER APPLICATION:
- Freedom Service Dogs does serve the entire United States, but we are located in Englewood, Colorado. Because of our physical location, we are unable to accommodate out-of-state requests for “hands-on” volunteer work with our dogs like walking, fostering, and weekending. With that said, some terrific fundraisers have been run by our out-of-state volunteers! If you are interested in hosting a fundraiser for FSD in your state, or would like more information about service dog programs a little bit closer to your home, please contact Marianne via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 303-922-6231 for more information.
- You must be at least 16 years old to volunteer for Freedom Service Dogs without parental supervision. Youths as young as 12 are able to volunteer, but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian every time they volunteer.
- If you are required to complete court-ordered community service and have been referred to us, please contact Susan at 303.922.6231 or email@example.com to sign up.
Once you have completed our Volunteer Application, please be sure to email it to ADuncan@freedomservicedogs.org or send it via snail mail to us for processing! Thank you again for your interest in volunteering for Freedom Service Dogs!
